I just bought two at Best Buy.
Malice@Doll, This is an 80 min. all cgi movie. It's not rated but is at least a strong R rating. Think of a Tim Burton type movie, kind of like "Alice through the looking glass meets bladerunner". A strange and dark plot, the android "Dolls" are left after man has wiped himself out. Malice, a pleasure doll, is mysteriously transfomed into a human (a tentacle scene) and wishes to transfer this gift to all the others through her kiss. But her "gift" comes with a curse. This one is worth the price just for the extra, A History of CGI Animation. Subbed and Dubbed.
The Place Promised in Our Early Days, This is a new one from ADV. I actually have one from ADV before my son! From the director Makoto Shinkai (Voices of a Distant Star) this is an excellent 90 minute anime. A moving story of best freinds that share two passions, the airplane they are building and the girl Sayuri. They promise to fly her to the distant tower that reaches to the sky. A mysical story of the passion of friendship, the pain of war, and the power of a promise. If you enjoy this type of anime, this is a must have. Subbed and dubbed in 5.1 sound.
I'm watching The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, This is a very humorous and interesting space war anime. Is the captain a great genious or is he just a very lucky, lovable idiot?
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?
