  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

glad you enjoyed it, wouldn't have expected people to like the atmosphere that much to be honest ;p

If I had a penny for every time someone posts that sentence in my announcment threads...
Emong wrote:But it was technically slightly dysfunctional simply because your transitions and stuff just didn't go with the music, simply put. The song had a really solid beat, which you ignored almost completely. Propably wasn't the best idea while there's very little space for lyrical sync.. But I gotta admit the song was pretty peculiar thing to sync to. But it can be done a lot better than this O:
Yeah you're right, it just somehow seems that people can see it in two different ways. Had I edited it completely according to the beat it would've become too predictable for other viewers and I would've gotten that complaint, so I wanted to keep a more dynamic kind of flow.
masterGT wrote:The video itself: I didn't get some story concept right, cause I don't know this anime, but I recognized that there is something inteded. As for the sync I can say there are "some" beat syncs, but most of it are "I don't know whatever" syncs. I'm missing some editing homogeneity.
Same thing here, it would've probably ended up getting boring after the first verse. But of course I also didn't have enough time to get everything down right anyways. As for the story it kind of ended up being my own story in the end, and the song doesn't make perfect sense to that kind of visuals as well. It's just that I liked the combination too much to just completely let it go just because of the details. But I can see how it would be hard to follow the plot here ;>

And to think that you of all persons make a girl-girl video... Awesome
Actually, the only reason why I bought the Popotan DVDs at Connichi was because of the Mai storyline

And to the rest of you thanks for the kind words and glad you guys enjoyed the video

Lol, that was nicely done man.
This video had a pretty good flow and mood-setting overall as well as a coherent storyline that was easy to follow. Enjoyable stuff, certainly a good job considering this was a quickie. 4/5

How did I oversee this thread o_O

Anyways, I really like the video (except for the music ;) ), it's well edited and very cute story ^.^

At one part I didn't really get what was going on, but I guess you just have to lend me your Popotan DVDs :P
