How about Save Ferris? I'm kinda surprised no one's mentioned them. The lead singer did additional vocals for "She has a Girlfriend Now" by Reel Big Fish.

Maybe they got friends in the band and wanted to promote the CD or something. LTJ is pretty damn popular within its genre. But, that's a pretty sweet deal.

Hmmm...that would work for Utena... I'm not that familiar with other yuri anime. Also, I just want to add that Monique Powell is a hottie
