Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Technical note: It would definitely help if you removed the interlacing before editing next time. Not only is the combing distracting, but removing it would also help with the compressibility.

I also wanted to say: That shot of the guy on the bed in the first verse? Went on way too long without a cut/fade.

In general, it didn't give me a feeling of going with the music, telling a story, or being nostalgic for the way things used to be...
I can't agree with that assessment - personally, I thought the video footage fit pretty well with the song - but then again, I'm familiar with KOR, so it made sense to me. Those not so familiar with the anime, logically, might find it harder to see the connection. (For the record, KOR's original manga was by Izumi Matsumoto, not Rumiko Takahashi - of course it's not a Takahashi-sensei work; it has a resolution! ^_^)

I though the video, overall, worked well. For my money, though, I would have preferred to use the second KOR movie. Since that one actually DOES deal with traveling through time and, possibly, changing history....

I totally agree with this. The visual quality had a lot of bugs in it. I'm not saying this to be mean but to be constructive.

I don't really stress visual quality as much as everyone else, but if you're gonna use the DVDs, you REALLY should deinterlace your footage.

The video went nice wih the music, but methinks you could have used some fading, less lip flap, and a little more editing. There were a couple of scenes that were a little too long. Otherwise, not bad. 3/5
