Should a-m-v.org incorporate alt. anime vids?

Exactly what I was thinking. It's just nothing "official". The idea of expanding at least the categories may be something worth exploring. Trouble is right now, there's really no way of searching for non-amv, anime videos. Remember this video, it's totally hilarious! But it's not a music video. And if I want to search for more "experimental" videos like this, how could I do that? There's nothing to distinguish it from an amv like everything else, categorically speaking.

But see, some AMVs by your definition are shorter than 2 minutes, and some commercials are longer than 2 minutes.

I personally think the best thing to do is to classify any anime put to any audio be considered an AMV.

Curious, what would it be if you took audio from one scene of an anime, and presented it with different scenes from the same anime?

I like AMV because it has two parts that work well together. If there's no music, it's not an anime music video, it's an anime video. Period. Maybe it's an anime trailer, or an anime fanparody, or an anime fandub, or even an anime silent video (like silent movies). It's an anime video, yes, and if it's short enough it'll probably be allowed here with the trailers that don't include music. But it won't be an anime music video.

Now, if you want to turn AMV into Anime Miscellaneous Video, then you're fine with or without music.
