56k modem. seriosl issues

tHIS happened to me not to long ago. Save you some time and money and just go buy a new network card from wal-mart its only about $50...

Get broadband. I don't care if you have to become a prostitute to pay for it, just get broadband.

I'm gonna have to go with Monarch on this one. Maybe not quite BB, but Cable or XDSL.

Some things to try, plug the modem into another pc and see if it has the same problem. Use the device manager to uninstall the modem, restart the computer and try installing the updated drivers. Buy a replacement modem, you can fine them for less than 20 bucks. I got a creative labs modem from MWave.com for less than that and it works great.
