so have someone set up a donation fund for you. Phade needed money, and everyone seemed to come through for him. If you don't want to donate, don't donate, but dont be a cock about it either.
I noticed you donated to the org, I hope you only downloaded as much as you donated.

edit: he never asked anyone to set this up, I'm doing it because it's a good thing to do, and if penny-arcade can raise close to 100,000 dollars or whatever it was in toys for childrens hospital, I think there's enough good in people once in a while to help out someone who really deserves it.

dontating to the org doesn't really benefit anyone, it just makes certain things more convienient. Your analogy is like buying your mothers starbucks coffee instead of offering a mcdonalds burger to the hungry bum on the street.

What a hostile reaction...
I'm going to be tens of thousands in the hole by the time I graduate college but even I'm not cheap enough to refuse to donate a few bucks for someone just trying to get by.
Or at least don't give someone a hard time when they are just trying to do what they think is right. Although I can't say that sarcasam isn't warrented, I mean, this is CJ.
If you read his Journal you would know that the injury was preaty bad and it probly would have been better if it was just a clean break. CJ was pretty cool about it considering how much it messed up his plans for college.
And all this suspicion! What is up with that? You people should be ashamed.

I'm not going to get into weather or not donating to this is a good idea or not. But I think this is WAY off topic for this forum. Seriously, "General AMV" should be somewhat telling of what should be posted in here. It'd be rediculous for me to go into a forum where there are people discussing leg sprains and randomly ignore what's going on in there to pimp my videos, why should this be any different.
While I think your intentions are nice or whatever, this is not the place for it. I read this forum to get away from people asking me to contribute my time/money or do something for them.
Please don't stuff this forum with this kind of thing. There's no reason that General AMV should become synonymous with "do a good deed" charities. (IMHO)
And as for your other point. Your not going to win anyones favor by pitting the value of the org against your friend's foot. No offence meant, but the Org has done more for me than a strangers foot ever has. Not only that, but the org offers me a return on my investment in ALOT of different ways, THAT is why I donated. If Phade was just like "Hey wanna feel like a good samaritan?" You can likely guess how much of my money would have been sent in...
