: /

I just watched the original and this version side by side and the only difference I saw was the resolution, the colors were more vibrant, and some scenes were off by a frame or two.

I personally think it is pretty cool. True he could have asked Phade but did we ask Kevin Caldwell if we could even list his videos in the database?

Anyone who wants to remaster my first video feel free. :P

He totally changed one scene in the video, and he screwed the aspect ratio on the end of eva sequence, and it doesnt even use the best source footage available.

Adding to what Zarxrax already said...

The "new" creator didn't use cross-dissolves in the same place / the same way / at all... the lip-synching is absolutely atrocious in general, nevermind being the same as Caldwell's...

I absolutely hate coming down on a video in public, but I fully believe this one warrants it... it's just so ridiculous and utterly inconsiderate, especially considering the attitude the editor puts in the video description. I'm sorry, but no, it's not even close to being edited in the same way as the original. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it's a Kevin Caldwell video, a well-known video, a well-loved video, an influential video... it just feels insulting.

Well, I don't really know where you're coming from really :| I mean if you do watch them side by side, the cuts, fades, and lip sync are almost exactly the same. They are slightly off, but not in a way thats really noticable.

Personally, I noticed it almost immediately. It's not like I know Caldwell's Engel like the back of my hand, or anything, but the instant the video started, I knew it was waaaaay off. The lip-synching isn't even in the same ballpark.

I dunno. I guess I'm in the minority that just sees this as an absolutely terrible thing to do (especially when executed so poorly), but so be it. Message boards are for expressing personal opinions, and I welcome anyone else's just like I hope mine are taken in the same way ^^;;.

Actually, Kevin's lip sync sucked ass. If you just watch them side by side you will see.

Actually, I thought his lip sync for Engel was pretty good.

Now his lip sync on Beautiful Life, that sucked.

For the time, Kevin's lip synch was definitely pretty good.
