Especially me and my mother. When were are in public we call eacher names to be funny. I'll be like "Woman! Get your butt over here now" and she will go "Worm! Shut yo mouth and wait boy!" It's really fun.
Do ya get along with your folks?

I'm going to invest in a Remington Model 870 chambered in 16 gauge, just incase my parents decide they need to get on my case anymore. My parents have been playing head games with me since I was born, and whenever I show any sign of independence, they try to shut me up, and tighten the leash.
The thing is, other than my temper, I've stayed clean. I haven't had sex, done drugs, smoked, drank, partied, or done anything to get in trouble. The only serious trouble I've gotten into had to deal with these new crappy Zero Tolerance policies, which were unfairly used against me, I might add. When it came to these situations, my parents were more than willing to hire a lawyer to sue those bastards till they couldn't pay their electric bill.
Of course, when I don't agree with what they think (and it's usually about cars, because I know far more than my parents could ever grasp), they yell, threaten to strike me, and even try to take my car away from me (AND I OWN MY CAR!). They went as far as to tell me once, when it came to selling my car: "You'll buy what we tell you to buy!".
It's gotten to the point I'm going to need a 16 gauge shotgun to keep them off my back. They have plenty of assault rifles, and we've come so close in the past to knock-down, drag-out brawls, that I do not want to be outgunned when the final conflict comes.

You ever thought about, you know, moving out?Toecutter wrote:I'm going to invest in a Remington Model 870 chambered in 16 gauge, just incase my parents decide they need to get on my case anymore. Me, klinky, and our mom get along "OK". So long as we spend as much time apart as possible, and avoid some topics things are peachy.
So far, living back at home isn't going too badly.
I'm out...

I never really knew my father (or wanted to), but I adore my mom. She was strict (I remember hating her lots of times) when it came to not talking back and never ever "say no to your mother!" type teaching. But now I see my little sister talking back, being a completely rude bitch and it makes me want to beat it out of her. I may not have liked getting yelled at for being rude, but now I think it's the right way to respect someone - and I won't stand for my sister treating my mom like that.
But then, my sister is the last, so mom has really gone slack once my brother and I moved out. I still don't get along with my mom when we're stuck together (I could never work with her), but so long as we don't visit for more than an hour we get along wonderfully. And she's supportive of pretty much anything I want to do. I think I'm her 'star' child since I graduated (the first in my family on either side) and I never ask for money or do anything to embarass her (like my sister). So she's willing to give anything I ask if she can - and I don't take advantage of that, which I think makes her like me more. I just figure I'm old enough to take care of myself, and she gets treated like shit by my sister so the least I can do is try to make her happy when I can.
And we have a lot in common, so we clash but still get along well. I think we're more friends than parent and child these days. I prefer it like that.

Trying to. I almost have enough money to do so. However, I need to take care fo a few other things first (like invest in that shotgun).Toecutter wrote:
