Ozzy music video contest

here's an interesting opportunity for video editors who want to get their feet wet with the recording industry.

Ozzy wants a video for his new single "I Don't Wanna Stop". He knows there are tons of talented fans and video directors out there that have what it takes to put it together. So that's where you come in.

Ozzy and his band shot performance footage of the entire song on green screen from multiple camera angles. Footage is posted on this page for you to download. The director can download performance footage and then make your own video using your preferred type of video editing software.

Use all of your own footage, use some of the band's, it's all up to you, just use your imagination. And remember, it's Ozzy, so make it fucking ROCK!

the prizes are a digital camcorder and tickets to an ozzy concert. it also seems they'd use the video as the official music video, so it could possibly get airplay on the small screen or be included on an official dvd or the like.

That's pretty cool. One of my favorite bands did something very similar recently too, but sans the green-screen footage. Which I think makes this one within reach of your typical AMVer.

I'd totally encourage people to do this; though I don't think I will myself (I'm still not much of a live-action editor).

That's really cool, if i had more access to the internet to get the clips i'd give it a shot for sure. But unless there's some miracle, i guess not.
