Yes. That's what I did the first time. I was so proud of myself. I followed directions, Woot! But, when I watched it...those funky little lines. They're like, um...I don't know. Almost like the lines you get when your television decides to have slightly bad reception for a moment. And only when there's a fade. It's hard to describe.

I recall getting those little lines as well. I'm under the impression it might have something to do with the deinterlacing. Maybe there's still some combed frames left on your files that stand out when it fades? But I'm really not sure myself...

Combed frames? Huh? Oh, I re-installed amv app, and I used huffyuv. I'm still getting those lines.

When I use the deinterlace filter, is there something I should be selecting in the configure menu?

I've never used the filter in VDub. I've always used AVISynth. Most of the time I just ignore them. I know my current Kaleido Star video showed a ton while processing through V-Dub, but so far, the video looks pretty good. I recall seeing the same things in my Cardcaptor Sakura video too and I didn't notice any of them on the final encode. Maybe try editing with the clip a little and then go through the whole post production process and see what comes out.

I go to file and then open file. And then my video is there. That's not supposed to happen, is it? :?

You can do it like that, but loading with AVISynth gives you more control over what you can do with your clip.
