I just had the same problem a while back.

While it seems like they work, DivX clips are a bitch to edit.
The best thing (I've discovered) is to make clips in VirtualDubMod, and save as 'Fast Recompress' with Lagarith or HuffyAUV (typo?). Works like a charm :)

Thanks, I found that out the hard way. I'm going to attempt the fast recompress and hope that it works. Thanks again for the advice.

I get it I get it. Anyways, Problem's been pretty much solved, but the files you get from fast recompressed HuffyYUV files are huge, like 3-5 gigs per ep. That's going to get pretty annoying.

and that's why you don't encode entire episodes.

then go to file->save

use those to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want so you can save room
this way, all of the clips you take for your amv will take up 3-5GB instead

Well yeah I thought about that. But I kinda make my videos on the fly. Haven't watched all of Ergo Proxy in a while so not exactly sure what I wanna put where just yet. So I don't know all my clips just yet. But I may have to change my ways, lest my computer be full of huge ass files for no reason. Thanks for the suggestion.
