Hits? Downloads or Views?

I have a super simple question that will probably make someone laugh at my stupidity.

Are the "Hits" for videos how many times it has been downloaded or how many times someone has viewed the download page?

Okay, I guess I have two questiosn.

If it is views, does it count a hit when I look at my own video download page?

hits are not downloads... if you want to see your downloads then go to your "edit my videos" button and you can see how many local downloads you have...

if you want to see more stats like that at the bottom of that page is a link to your bandwidth used, and you can see more

hits = the number of times the page has been viewed

Assuming you're logged in. If you view your page info for some reason when you're not logged in, it's a hit.

Yeah, just the account that made it doesn't count as a hit.

or you could script it in like 5 minutes. hell, you could even throw an ip spoofer in there and use it for ad clicking too. internet. serious moneymaking.

I've had friends make lots of money off of banner clicking scams in the past... It was so easy to do that most companies dropped the pay-per-click protocol in favor of a percentage of sales type deal that didn't yield nearly as much revenue.
