The Brattle Anime Festival is proud to announce Brattle Royale. 17 titles, 24 hours, 1 survivor, no rules!

Starting at noon on Saturday, June 2, 2006, through noon the next day, the Brattle will screen classic and cutting edge animation from Japan.

Guest of Honor Nancy Novotny will be appearing. Nancy is the English voice of "Yomi" from Azumanga Daioh!, Madlax and Yuka from Elfen Lied, amongst many others.

To date, the Brattle Anime Festival has confirmed Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind; Eureka Seven; Origin: Spirits of the Past; Gantz; Azumanga Daioh!; Tenchi Muyo; Genshiken and more! The fun will continue with many shorts, surprises, give-aways and a costume contest.

i'm more interested in why somebody who forced himself out of the amv community, comes back to announce anime events

Just because he robbed us of his masterful video work is no reason to come down upon him.

After all, there's nothing wrong with preventing the public from seeing videos better than 99.9% of the garbage produced by other people.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."
