Fine, but won't be almost impossible for me to cut clips and then export them to lagarith? It will take forever....

when you export from vegas export as a lagarith file, take the file clean it up with avisynth and compress with XVID or .h264 (or whatever the "new" codec is for the mp4 container...)

this is how i do it.
So you are saying I should export them from vegas as a lagarith file and recompress it with virtualdub to lagarith?
Uhm... I already said that wth many more additional things you should do! Without adding filters that clean up the footage. You´ll be not pleased. I promise.

Why are you all repeating half things? I said everything he needs in my first posts.
Stop confusing him.-.
But I use a convertor that loses's 0% quailty I checked it out myself....
EH! What your eye sees can be possible not a looseless codec such as Lagarith and Huffy.

he said he was "not good with compressing" so i was telling him step by step how to do it :/ i was hoping to show him that its not as hard as hes making it out to be, for example with the XVID guide that you gave him, i was hoping to tell him that if he follows the screencaps and sets it up exactly as they have it then he will turn out a decent product...

you pretty much gave him all the "export settings" he needed but aparently he was missing the preprocessing stuff.. especially if hes using some WMV "lossless" compression... I was hoping to give him more of that

also he claims to working with Vegas a program i am very familiar with so its alot easier to send him directly to the guides he needs instead of overloading him with the general readfag guide...

he might not be ready for mp4 yet (even though its almost simpler than xvid) because he is ovbiusly not familiar with AVIsynth... so i donno what else to say... not to mention filtering with avisynth is a real pain...

perhaps he should start with a few test clips, before he starts getting in too deep...

and perhaps build on what he already knows...

True. Take out what you want to see and op it. It really doesn´t have to be 8 ops or something like that. A thanks + 1 op is ok too.

well i wish you luck and i also hope to see what kind of video you turn out...

make a few test clips to get yourself familiar with virtualdub mod and the other programs... then work on making your actual video...

just take it a step at a time.. and good luck
