9 tapes each season 2 episodes per tape up until season 6 when it becomes 3. 4 oavs and 2 movies.

Season #1 = 18 episodes
Season #2 = 22 episodes
Season #3 = 24 episodes
Season #4 = 24 episodes
Season #5 = 24 episodes
Season #6 = 24 episodes

Actually, seeing this thread reminds me of a question I had about Ranma 1/2. A stupid question, but...a question.

Does the Ranma 1/2 anime series end the same way as the manga?

For some reason I've been seeing things about both manga and anime that make be believe they end differently.

....I'm confused.

Since it's short, Viz released it as an OAV. Note that it's widescreen.

The TV series ended September 25th 1992.
The manga finished February 21st 1996.
Takahashi's ending wasn't animated.

(But there was an April Fool's Joke in 1998 saying that it was. The "fourth movie" was titled "Four Fiancees and a Funeral"

You are right!!!
There are actually 3 Movies.
The third one is "Ranma team vs the legendary Phinex" (or how ever it is)
But it was too short so I really dont consider it a movie either.
But YES it is a move that comes in the OAV box set.
