Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

MUSE/Advent Children AMVs (2)

Post by Kotrl » Mon Feb 26, 2007 4:13 pm

The full story behind these 2 AMVs is only blog at http://blog.kotrl.co.uk/2007/02/anime-music-videos.html

A quick introduction. I'd consider myself a fairly adept video editor, yet these are my first movies that could strictly be called "AMVs". Both of them use MUSE songs to Final Fantasy: Advent Children and I'm pleased with how they each of them went.

I'm afraid I don't have a-m-v.org mirrors, I was having some problems with the upload server.

Tell me one thing... If you can have it on Youtube and Filefront where's the problem with having it here on the local download? Cuz apart from you being lazy and/or not knowing how to upload it here I can't see any logical reason for doing so...(I assume that if you post on annoucment forum on this site you do want to get feedback here)

Not bad, though the editing could use a little more tightening. I'd say that Starlight is the stronger of the two, though the ending seems rather abrupt.

Yes, I am looking for feedback, but this comment bares no relevance to my actaul movies. I know how to use FTP, there's no need for any such accusation, but the .org was repeatedly timing out during the upload, and I haven't attempted it since. There's no need for concern. Thank You :)

Thanks, the editing was a bit looser than usual, but I put the two together on quite a short timescale. I finished Starlight where I did, simlpy because I don't like the second half of the song so much, and couldn't find any inspiration to take it further, so I ended it prematurely for the movie's sake.

Thanks
