Actually that one would have been interesting. He brings up some topics I could see some legit discussion about. Of course, I couldn't see some legit discussion with him about it and it's totally off topic for the org.

some people seriously need to grow up and get a life :/

I remember the org before there was all this crap going on...and then some boobtube noobs and other weirdos had to come in and ruin the org I used to know and love. Now to keep up with the pace, mods have to ban left and right. They are made out as the bad guys when really it's these immature people making dummy accounts that are causing all the problems

I'm suprised someone didn't suggest more mods. Then again that would end up being like the police force....not a good idea. We don't need more mods...we need less people like this :/

*cough* I don't, and I was here for two years more than you were :P
These things are cyclical. The point is that they are just something that needs to be dealt with adequately.

aaand I likewise have been giving subtle pokes towards it for the past 3 years. Though I believe the number of active mods has improved somewhat. That's something for the administration's judgement of course and I don't want to raise that particular point again :roll:

I'm also tired of people referring to 'this is how other forums I've been on are run' but we don't care how OTHER forums are run. If you don't like this one, then get out. I'm sure no one would miss them. :roll:

Just adding to the fire of what new people seem to think. >>

I don't even know for sure if that person was ASIAN, they seemed to be trying to hard. :? that, or he admitted he was ASIAN, but wouldn't admit he was not japanese, and therefore had no standing on all of this. He wrote in his sig that "ASIANS own 'blah blah blah'" but unless he was japanese and head of an anime production company....

or am I being too technical? :|
my brain hurt. ._.

I don't think that's fair. There's lots of good things about other forums that ours could learn from without having to 'become another forum'. There's 'special' problems on this forum that require 'special' solutions;

What we certainly DON'T need is a 'magic formula for forum happiness'. Instead we need intelligent approaches to both recurring and specific situations.

I think that is a bit extreme. But I do remember there being people like that stalking the journals...maybe it just got out of hand recently or something. But there are very good things in forums we can incorporate here....and vice versa. The trick is weeding out the good from the bad

Consistency is what I'd like, as long as we know where the line gets crossed and get swift action, that will go much farther. Instilling the 'fear of Mod' will go a long way to control a lot of things. When things get looked at quickly are the things that get the biggest reaction.

It would appear that he was Indonesian.
