Failing To Export

Post by CCChang » Fri Feb 16, 2007 11:58 am

New problem now.

Here and there, I export what I've done so far to see how it looks at full speed.

However, ever since I last added some stuff to the AMV, it crashes everytime it tries to render a certain frame. Like, it just stops at that frame, and the timer saying when it will be finish still counts down until the point where it's literally 0 and it's still at that frame.

I checked the frame and it's odd. There frame's had nothing different done to it. All that's there is just a black frame over it that slowly fades in to create a black fade out. The trouble causing frame is just before it completely fades out to black.

I can't try adding a cross fade to actual clip because the transition too short and will make it look too rushed. So does anyone have any ideas? Or suggestions as to how to avoid this?

Instead of putting in a black frame and having it fade in, why don't you just keyframe the opacity of the actual clip to make it fade out?

The problem will be that it's too abrupt. But hell, I'll just have to change the clip to something else I suppose. Or try doing something else with it.

By the way, can anyone please explain to me why this happened so I can avoid it in the future?

Not necessarily. If you make the drop long enough it will be a slow gradual fade.

As for the crashing... usually a memory problem when your computer does not have enough ram to process the entirely. You'll need to do what Purge said and mark out small sections of your video and export them seperatly. I had to do that with the video in my sig because of premiere crashing. I ended up having to export 5 - 10 second clips and then piece them back together. Just be sure you keep track of your frames so you don't duplicate any.

For example. if you export 00:00:10;00 (ten seconds) your next clip should start at
00:00:10;01.
