yahoo tried to get animeish again
i just happened to flip on my internet after it had been down for a while and popped onto yahoo, right in the middle is a link to "valentine day" videos, one of which shown is anime.
http://video.yahoo.com/, or it might still be on www.yahoo.com for a little while longer, the "anime in love" one
So i say, "hey, it's an anime vid on the yahoo front page, guess i'll take a look" and i sorta had big expectations since this vid was stuck on the front of a major website and all. However, it was a suprisingly simple amv, not bad, the mood fit the scenes pretty well but it wasnt anything super fantastic either. Pretty much the only things really used were fade ins and outs, but what really hit me was that there were some clips with subs on them and i'm thinking "yahoo, if you're gonna use an example of an amv to depict valentine's day, why did you have to get one that has subs in it?"
there really is no point to this post, just a small rant about how some websites try and use anime and amvs to grab attention and dont even bother looking for high quality vids, but then again it was something hosted on yahoo-videos and not something off of the org so what can you expect ;p

Oddly enough I've been considering making an AMV to this song. I downloaded this a month or two ago so I could see what other AMVs were done to this song.
And yeah, I agree that this isn't the best example of an amv for the page but they probably wanted something catchy and didn't stop to watch it.
