A question...from a noob

Post by ooga_booga » Thu Feb 08, 2007 11:11 pm

I'm making this amv right now and I want to put in clips of just the mouth moving to lip sync and not the complete picture of the face. I would like to trim the sides of the clip(not length wise, but screen size wise). Like having it stay in a quadrilateral shape, but not the full scene/ screen. (if that made any sense)

Let's say the screen was a person talking like this = :D. What I would like to do is just have the mouth show up and not the eyes, nose, etc. but keep the screen rectangular in its original size and insert it like on the side.

If this still doesn't make sense, here's an example at 1:36 of this amv: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DypMh_4JTDg See, the screen is cut. I was wondering if I could do something like that.

So I have Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and I tried doing this, but all it did was make the frame of the overall screen smaller/bigger.

Is there some kind of specific program I have to use to do this?[/url]

Maybe try making a simple split screen or even use the garbage matte from the effects menu.
