ive personally never tried it with firefox,
it would be best to just do it with explorer, since thats what the guide is using

Umm.... what ftp are you using? 
well I use FileZilla and if you don't have that try to get it FileZilla since I use this I haven't got any issues of uploading AMV here.

It sounds like you entered the url using the http protocol. Replace http:// with ftp:// and repeat.ned the destroyer wrote:ok so ive tried it on both fox and explorer but when you put the ftp site into the url it takes me to Apache and doesnt give me any login it just gives me linkds to the apache web page what im seeing is total different than what the guid shows

Sidenote: the first hosting server the org used had a glaring notice to use ftp:// but the new one still has the default apache fresh install page...
