Teenage Ultrastar (Haruhi)

Post by Uanime5 » Fri Jan 26, 2007 1:43 pm

My 27th AMV focuses on how children are influenced by celebrities status and bullying. The anime is the 'Melancholy of Haruhi' and the song is 'Teenage Superstar' by Kim Liam. I changed the ending for this AMV part way through making it. This change was mainly inspired by the clips I found and my own imagination.

It can be viewed here:

Honestly, this video is rather weak. The song needs high-energy editing, and you didn't or couldn't deliver. 2/5

I left a rather lengthy & constructive op on this.. it's not that bad a video or concept.. it just needs a little more effort, that's all. :)

I have made some changes to this AMV and reuploaded it. I have added some effects to improve music-sync. I did not add an effect for every guitar beat because this can detract from the video by making it harder to watch (such as the video 'Seiji Dirtbag').

Oooh new version? :D

The zooming in on the beats worked really well, and the greyscale stills over 1:01-1:08 work a lot better than the flat footage without it being too busy. Much better than before.
It's still a little on the "slow" side, but it's definately far better than it was. ;)

Didn't see the first one, so I can't compare it, but it was still pretty good. Like many other AMV's it was but a mere chili dog in the fast food world. It wasn't just a boring old hot dog, but it also didn't have the extra added cheese and onions. But still, a very good dog. 3/5
