Fullmetal Alchemist is an awesome series

it's one of my favorites.

Yeah, for some reason in the anime Izumi always seems depressing somehow.

Well, she wasn't exactly little miss sunshine in the manga, either.

Boy, she's got a lot of spunk for a dying woman. I love the way she bursts in on Greed and his crew to (rescue?) Ed and Al.

Yeah but she had alot of funny moments in the manga, and always seemed to break out in cross veins.

Izumi, depressing??

<-----------(obviously hasn't seen much of the anime)

the few time's I've seen her, I wind up laughing for half the ep, but yeah, she's got her moments.........the movie was that much sadder because Izumi wasn't in it

Oh yeah, so do I. She's still not exactly a happy camper 99% of the time. I guess she's kinda like the angry guy in a manzai team.

she's funny because she's violent

So I finally got access to the entire series (in Japanese) and I saw ep6, and almost cried when Al was saying stuff like "was I soft and warm like that?" If it was in English, there would've been waterworks, because Al's Eng. voice actor does the 'depressing' so well....

That was so sad.

I really enjoyed episode six. (Saw it dubbed.) Poor Al. Poor little Al in that huge suit of armor.

He was so happy when Armstrong treated him and Ed like children. All while Ed was going balistic about being treated like a kid.

The best part with Al was his speech to Dante in the last episode and especially in the book when he challenged Lust.
