Just throwing an idea out in the open

I had a little idea today for an amv using the song 'dani california' by the chill peppers. The video would be based on the actual RHCP video they did for the song (doing parodies of different periods of rock music) but use different anime from different periods. Ideas for shows i had were astroboy (i think there used to be black and white shows) and kimba for the vintage stuff, robotech for the classic era, tenchi or ramna and evangelion for the 80's and 90's era, and i had the idea of haruhi and Fullmetal alchemist for the modern era and to drive the song home.
So what y'all think? Any suggestions for anime?

Not sure if this would be a good idea. I can understand what type of video you're going for, but anyone who hasn't seen the original music video might just view this as another random anime mixed with random song video. Up to you though.
