I feel stupid for not thinking of a different material......

and it would be hard to use such a big suit when I'm......5'2.5"

I heard about a girl who's father was a metalworker or something, and made her the suit....but I never heard if she wore it

Don't sweat it. ^_^ My first thought when designing a costume is to stay as close to the original as possible. So thinking actual metal for an Alphonse costume is completely understandable (if a little daunting).

Besides, wouldn't cardboard get wet? (Wait, I'm thinking Halloween in Minnesota. Maybe it doesn't get as damp in other areas.)

Yeah this is a really good anime

but why just don't download it? :S
isn't that just easier?

and I'm pretty new too.

I love this show. The only problem I have to stay up till 11:30 PM to watch it. Not really a big deal and it's worth it.

Actual downloading laws are a little sketchy right now, but the jist as I understand it is that you can't download or make available for download any anime that has been licensed to an American distributor.

So if there isn't a license, you're probably in the clear, but I wouldn't try luck. (Besides, most companies are pretty good about including the original Japanese soundtrack with good subtitles. There are exceptions, but they tend to be pretty cheap, too.)

something thats been bothering me for a while:

Can Ed's automail limbs feel pain? He yells when he gets shot in the foot by one of Bald's henchmen, but Scar blows his arm clean off and he doesn't really say anything. also, during a rainstorm, I-forgot-her-name from the automail mecca town says her legs/joints ache (during the manga)

Sloth in the tunnel---? If you mean the ep where Winry and Sheska try to spy on the president, and Sloth chases them.....I think I have that ep.....but my friend is borrowing it.

Feel pain? I dunno. I've always assumed those yells are more of surprise or maybe the connection between his body and the automail getting twisted.

As for the joint aches, that may be her way of saying that they've gotten sluggish or started squeeking. (Makes me think of the Tin Woodsman from The Wizard of Oz.

I'm actually just starting to watch this now that all the hype has pretty much died down. So far it's not a bad series. And what that one freak did to the little loli and the dog that was pretty sick.
