Codecs in premire

Post by James Sharp » Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:05 pm

Well im using premire pro 1.0

So i was reading this awsome tut on getting your project started on this link:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... setup.html

And i noticed that my premire did not have that codec available to use for previewing edits on the fly..

So i looked into this one.. and it actually costs money to buy.. so i was wondering if anyone knew where to find a good free codec that works better than the cinipak codec...

Any help would rock thanks.[/url]

But it does not cost money to get the free demo version, which is what Absolute Destiny recommends.

That is, if you are talking about the Pegasus PICVideo MJPEG codec.

What do you mean by "more permanent"?

I'd recommend just using the PICVideo MJPEG Codec for previewing your edits "on the fly" and a lossless codec, such as Huffyyuv or Lagarith, or possibly even Uncompressed for export. It says that in the guides, too.

what i mean by more permenant is that its not a trial version..

Because when you press enter to view your files on with this trial codec. it remindes you at every single clip cutt that it will embed a water mark into your finished render and that is very VERY annoying when you have alot of cuts.. you end up clicking ok like 50 times.

Yes, but such is the price of the trial version.

Aside from that, I can't help ya. Sorry.
