In my nearly finished AMV I want to use a French sentence, but my French is very basic and more limited to understanding than forming proper sentences. The sentence is: "Let us become friends." and it's from girl to girl. And they don't use formal language. I puzzled together: "Laisse nous devenir amies." So it would be great if someone who speaks French well could confirm or correct this.
Thanks in advance.
French translation help, please.

Actually, "Soyons amies" would be better. It's more here-and-now, whereas devenir is a verb applying to a process. The same difference applies in English: "soyons amies" is "let's be friends" and "devenons amies" is "let's become friends."
