- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

you should probably put a description on that link though that says that it goes to a streaming site so that way people wont expect to dowload it... thats what i was meaning, the type of link (direct, indirect, local) doesnt matter, the "Download" compared to "Streaming" does however matter...
the link to the guide was a "just incase you didnt know" thing... (its easier to make sure I give all the information i can than it is to assume everyone knows everything)
and rina is right, you should probably cut off the subs... if you tell me you dont know how then ill give you a link... (unless someone beats me to it) I'll watch it all the way through in the morning @_@
either way good luck and im off to bed...

Generally subtitles left in the video are distracting, looking bad and showing a sign of disrespect to the viewers - since Cropping them out is that easy

the deal with leaving in the subs is that it shows two things
1. either youre cheap and wont go out and buy the DVDs.. (or you just dont have the money, though i donno where you live but its always possible that DVDs arent that available there...)
2. or youre lazy (this comes across stronger than the other, cause some people cant afford DVDs, and cropping off the subtitles is so very easy, and takes very little effort, its just shown as really really lazy, plus you said yourself that you "didnt take the time" or you "rushed" it)
usually for people using Windows Movie Maker (im not sure, you ARE using WMM right?) I recommend that they crop using the Virtual Dub Mod method in pre processing (when they are selecting their clips or what not) cause then you can get rid of the audio, convert to a lossless codec, do any avisynth cleaning and you dont have to deal with it post processing..
and always take the time on your videos, that will (hopefully) make them all the better.
...ps. ima go watch it now..

Just I made AMV because I want to and for someone ^_^

btw... thanks anyway for watching it's my first time you know
and yeah I do alot of post ^_^ in Video Forum Section.
Code: Select all
I have to many bills like paying the house, car, my schooling, gas/utilities and other stuff. So I'm spending my money wisely and usefully but AMV it's very different than my daily lives (not included I'm saving alot for my future weds :>XDD).

as i said, the money thing aside it will still come off as lazy since cropping is so easy to do...
ive been using the phrase for a long time :/
and as for reasons to buy the dvds:
1. you support the industry, so they can keep making the anime/importing it to where you live.
2. downloading copywrited material violates coppywrite laws... I'm not sure of the laws in your country, but in the united states, its illegal weather its licenced or not.
3. you show respect to the original creators by showing that their work is worth something.
4. you get alot cleaner coppy by using the DVD footage, and you SHOULD end up with a higher quality video in the end...
5. you wont have to crop off subtitles, therefore eliminating the step from the video making process, and therefore you wont have to listen to people complain that there are subs in your video... (its a major petpeeve around here, you will hear it alot) and you will be able to preserve the original aspect ratio.
there are lots of reasons to buy the DVDs and use them as a source over fansubs O.o

one. where both in US but in different sate I say and I'm the only one ( as I know
) who like Anime here but the little kids I don't know if they like CARTOONS not Anime well I don't know... <.<
but I can't make AMV like what others do?
I'm not ADVANCE like you guys just I'm still in newbie making AMV though I'll pass that and I've no EXTRA time now.

geez, I'm talk to much here *sigh* so what you mean is...... better I'm not making any AMV
because I donwload ANIME, that's it?! And what I'm thinking now.....
nande morai just it's wakaranai v_v; what it's the problem if I'm making AMV like that *sigh* it's kinda distracted how I feel though well daijobu so kombou-wa. I'm tired now need to go early in bed
see yoh! tomorrow

two. yeah I know but as I say in the description about theJaddziaDax wrote:downloading copywrited material violates coppywrite laws.
and so on..... I admit I do AMV w/out their permission but how about others 0.o?"Disclaimer"I don't own any kind of ANIME and nor do I have any rights to it, nor do I own any rights to any of their stuff. This was purely fan made and was no way intending to copyright infringe upon anyone.
as I remember I put up their names to be sure of giving them respectJaddziaDax wrote:3. you show respect to the original creators by showing that their work is worth something.

All credit goes to its proper animators/writers/directors etc... etc... etc....
as I said I can't -__-; and also what do you mean higher qualityJaddziaDax wrote:4. you get alot cleaner coppy by using the DVD footage, and you SHOULD end up with a higher quality video in the end...

and for the rest (@_@ wow.... I do alot of typing can't belive it!) Jast all I can say is..... I made AMV because I want too but I consider the real CREATOR not like others and as I can see also there's alot of AMV creator I know use DL Anime from other torrent ( sorry out of the boundary). So I'm trying myself to make AMV because I'm a fan too, you know that by nowJaddziaDax wrote:5. you wont have to crop off subtitles, therefore eliminating the step from the video making process, and therefore you wont have to listen to people complain that there are subs in your video...
