I'd assume a lot of editors would keep huffys somewhere for conventions; you should just PM the AMV creators and ask for the AMVs you want and see.

omg
Imagine you PM Koop for an HD version of Euphoria. He will kick your ass XD

I think if they have the HD-huffys they would announce also HD-amvs. I guess that most of the resize theire clips with VDM to a more handsome smaller ressolution.
To work with HDclips-bait&switch and to work with memory problems must be a pain in the ass.

Well, getting them to trust you would be hard, sure, but I keep huffys of all my stuff. I only compress it because (a) nobody in their right mind would download a video 100mb+ (b) local only hosts video sunder 100mb, and (c) I wouldn't want to host something that huge; it'd eat up all my bandwidth in one download, almost.

I have a DVD download for one of my amvs, which is very easy to put on DVD. Looks really nice on HDTVs. Check it out! (Should try doing that for my best looking video, though the video is so f'ing long equaling a very f'ing huge file size.)

At this point don't count on too many being true HD - most of the very small number of HD AMVs are probably from upscaled RAWs rather than real HD RAWs - since unless you animate the video yourself (and by that I don't necessarily mean drawn by your own hand) and make sure the footage being used is the right size, RAWs are the just about the only way to get such footage (considering the trick to rip HD DVDs is rather cumbersome, that conclusion's just made from reading about it, though).

At some point this year I will be doing a couple true 720p and 1080p videos, though.

you can have my 720p 3d Kanon video when I'm done with it (check back sometime in August -_-)
