Recommended Format

What is a recommended format I should convert my .wmw into that it could be viewed on most computers, while mantaining good quality?
Also, what program should I use to convert them?

You shouldn't be starting from a .WMV in the first place. If it's because you're using Windows Movie Maker, go <a href="/guides/avtech/wmm2export.html">here</a> to find out how to export a DV AVI instead, which offers much higher fidelity over any of the default WMV profiles you can export with.

The following pages in that guide go over how to compress it to something distributable, so just keep reading.
