Or use a program like this? It's a little old, but I forget the name of a newer similar type of program I read about recently.

I work a full 40+ hours a week, but thankfully that's all compressed into a 4 day work week most of the time. I actually schedule my editing time around my days off. I might do some minor work during the week after I get off work, but the bulk of my actual editing time is done on my 3 days off. At that point, it's not unusual for me to literally dedicate a full day or two to editing.

And that, ladies and gents, is why I have no social life. :P

doki, your a genius! Need to get my roommate to set that up on my system (so only he knows the password) so I'll finish what I'm working on before the deadline.

When I'm at home, I hog the table so I can get maybe an hour of editing time two or three nights a week, more on weekend. When I travel, I load up my laptop with some episodes and plan on doing some editing in my hotel (in the hotel maybe an hour before getting some shuteye which usually works. I'm in Parkersburg right now but I've been too busy so I'll probably get some editing done in the airport tomorrow (two hour layover between WV and CA).

hear, hear.

I've been wanting to do this music video to this video game ever since about 2001 or 2002. The thing has stayed on paper so long that not only have I done pretty much every AMV I could do that was in my "AMV Book"(maybe I'll scan it one day), but I've also storyboarded videos I know I could never do.

Plus a sequel to the game came out, and I haven't beaten the sequel yet, so now it's more like, "Well.. Don't want to make an AMV if I don't have all the footage..." But really it's just more excuses to not make the damn thing.

As far as time goes, you make time. I carry around a schedule book with me now. Retarded as it sounds, it actually works. Unlike a to do list, which gives you no set deadlines other than 'Hey, get this done at some point."

Which is a funny story, it took me a year to finish this video that I was getting paid to edit because it sat on my To Do list....

Or you could just make sure WoW is on a seperate computer than your editing software. That's what I do.

I dropped out of school, became homeless, and managed to convince the closest internet cafe that I worked there.

Now I just huddle in there at night when nobody else is around and edit then.

For the last few weeks college hasnt started up ( it begins the 16th so only a few more days of freedom! ) but provided I have a school/work scedule I allocate at least an hour a night to doing SOMETHING on a project. Its not a lot of time but almost everybody has 1 hour they can give to their project if they make the time and after a week, or two? Those hours add up.

Naturally friends and other stuff come first because .. well .. they just do. Keeps me human and not some obsessed person-who-cant-make-the-scene-fade-properly! WHY-WONT-YOU-RENDER?! WHAT-DOYOUMEAN-NOT-ENOUGH-DISC-SPACE?! HULK-SMASH! ... er ....yea....

THAT type of dude
