Rules on pointlessness

Well, the grounds for closing pointless threads are well established... I figured there would (or rather should/could) be rules regarding users who only seem to post without point. I'm not talking about the random BS that occurs from time to time and now can in the off topic forum, but with users constantly posting in every conceivable thread with the equivalent of "i have no idea what you're talking about, but i'm going to post anyways." Is there any sort of procedure for dealing with this shit, or what?

I, for one, am getting fed up with the preponderance of it lately.

Seriously, I think the procedure for dealing with it is "post in the mod drop box".

mod drop box it is...
It would be easier to post the "posts by this user" link, but i think a detailed list of every post one topic at a time would probably prove the point a bit more.

Why's that? Other users get shit for derailing and otherwise disrupting things.

because instead of making a thread about it for everyone to come by and throw in their own shit and whatever: you could have just as easily taken it to an admin/mod, (or like someone already said "mod drop box") and let them take care of the problem instead... that is after all "their job" as admins/mods

and considering we already have the rule for "no pointless posts" bringing up a thread to cut down on the "pointless posts" seems really redundant and therefore pointless O.o

ps. I've been talking with the person in pm, and advising them to "lay low" and try to learn how the forums work... here i thought that was a better solution than opening up a thread that could easily turn into a flame war although only in very tiny text

there's a "point" to everything, including "pointlessness". you may not agree with whatever "point" is being expressed; however, that doesn't make the "intent" of the post any less false

And public ridicule serves it's purpose just as effectively and doesn't bother the mods whom have most certainly seen at least one of the posts in question and have done nothing about it yet. If they're going to do something it would happen whether or not this thread was here.

The point is quite clear. I'm asking if there is policy regarding such things and if there should be. I thought that line was written quite clearly in the fist post.
