right now i'm working as a lab tech for a manufacturing company. its pretty simple work. i would like to work in a bio research lab though (ideally cognitive neuro or cognitive psych, not marine bio), but it's tough without either a graduate degree or a background in molecular bio :/ so i'm plannin on applying to grad school maybe next year.

im also workin on gettin emt certified so i can drive around in the big white truck.

And this way you can put all that time in for NO money :)

As for myself, I'm a Ph. D canidate in Computer Engineering here at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I worked full-time three years at AMD as a Product Development Engineer in Austin and I definitely miss Austin and the "big bucks" : |. In the Spring/Summer, I'll be working at Intel (AMD -> Intel HAHA) in California (near Pwolfenstein3D) and doing Architecture and Performance Modeling.

(yeah that was a pretty technical paragraph >_>)

B.A. from a tiny liberal arts college in Electronic Media and the Arts (with a focus in digital video and editing) & Asian Studies (with a focus on Japanese studies).

And now I'm attending a pretty well-known language school through which I hope to obtain Japanese fluency in two years.

Hopefully I make a career out of video production and editing instead of having to live in a box.

(my mom yelled me out of my long-time dream of being a secondary English teacher... luckily, because I realized a few years later that I hate most teenagers)

x2 on the "NOOO~OOO" - I talk to them and work with educator types, and my impression is that they're hassled, confused, constrained by rules and curriculum (NCLB in the US, regular rules everywhere else), and rarely make money. Unless you get a position in a nice private school somewhere. It's one of those jobs that people do for love rather than money, or as a secondary income.

o/` And everybody knows it sucks to grow up... o/`

I'm currently in college working on my BFA in Digital Video Production, and I plan to either be an editor, camera handler(fancy term for cameraman) or maybe do DVD Authoring or multimedia(flash, multicasting/simulcasting).

I graduate in 2008 with my AS but have credits left over since I started as BFA(long story, basically it's the same program). Depending on what happens, I'll either continue getting my BFA at this school(IADT - It sucks) or move to another school and get my BFA there, or if I have a decent job oppertunity, fuck the schools and go with that.

Right now I'm moving every three months so I haven't been able to keep up a job, but I used to be a cashier at the kroger where SnhKnives shops. XD

I do random computer repair gigs and do various common-sense technical support for friends.

I also have a professor that's seen my AMVs and wants me on most of his gigs, so I'm kind of PAing on that end, I've already had an offer to edit this vista travel thing and PA for a music video shoot. ^_^
