For those of you don't know, DotA (Defense of the Ancients) is a map for Warcraft 3 and its expansion, The Frozen Throne, that has spawned a following larger than that of the regular game.

I had access to WC3 and never got into it until I found DotA, and it's basically gold. If you're familiar with the game, you know it's RTS and the innovative feature is the existence of heroes that you can build up, RPG style. In DotA, you don't have all micro-management of the standard game, there's no army. You just control one hero, and you pit yourself against other heroes. There are two opposing sides, up to ten players, each controlling one hero.

As of yet, we've only been able to get a few people in the game, and we're looking for more. So if you have WC3 and the expansion, or know someone who does, grab it and join us on US East. Even just a couple more people would be great. If you're up for it, list your account name (and preferably AIM sn) and times available and we'll try to get some games together. We usually play later in the evening, like between 8 and 11ish.

I'm user JewDownWell on Azeroth USEast. I also usually play between around 8 and 11 PM EST.

If you play against Flint, use a Hero with lots of slowdown effects, because he loves it.

If you play against Hsien...well you don't gotta do anything. He'll die no matter what.

Wonka and I used to be un-fucking-defeated in our Dota glory days but that was 3 years ago and we were playing in the same room, which is quite the advantage.

Nothing is better than a coordinated Ice Arrow Bitch + Assassin attack. "Oh man its so cold, I cant run awa-OW! OW! OW! OW! *death*"

O SHT I found that Ice Arrow chick earlier and OWNED Hsien with it. Once you see a hero and put that on Auto, it's over!

She is SO unfair vs almost half of the other heroes.

1. Ice Bitch attacks
2. Hero runs away
3. Ice Bitch turns on "auto shoot ice arrow slowing target to 70%"
4. Hero sloooooooows doooooooown and contiiiinuuuuuuuuues ruuuuuuning
5. Hero dies
