SECOND TO LAST EPISODE!!! :o
That has to be one of the biggest cliffhangers (excuse the pun ) I have ever seen. After that "final exam" Misaki gave to Satou, she basically wanted him to sign another contract saying that he should be with her forever. Satou pretty much refused it and ran off leaving Misaki alone. Satou thought he was not alone until a day passed by where his hikikomori ways started up again. He finally took the initiative and went outside to get a job as a traffic cop.

After awhile, he noticed that an ambulance came to Misaki's place when he overheard Misaki collapsed, and then she was taken to the hospital. Satou finally met Misaki's uncle who was surprisingly the landlord of his apartment. The uncle mentioned how Misaki's dad died when she was very young so her mother remarried. Unfortunately her new stepfather was extremely abusive to her mother to a point that her mother committed suicide right in front of her. Misaki then received more abuse from the stepdad until her uncle intervened and took her away.

As they got to the hospital, they found out Misaki ran away from her hospital room. Satou then quickly figured out where she went and went off to get her by himself.

It seems like Misaki is going to commit suicide as well!
That BGM at the ending scene was freakin' awesome! Dammit, I want the OST and the last episode!!! :x

Dang another one I have to wait a week for!!

This was seriously good, I can't wait for the last episode. Not that its any surprise, but It seems what we all suspected concerning Misaki....
Was not only true, but boy did she have one rough childhood.... Its no wonder shes so... uh, Broken? This episode really made you feel sympathy towards her though. It seems Saitou finally reaized that he was talking her for granted after hearing all this aswell.
I can't wait for Final episode!

OMGOMGOMG!!!! Woaaaaaaah! I mean... gee! I really can't wait for the next episode. NHK and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu will be 2006's landmarks.

Btw, don't you think that the animation in this episode is quite bad?

FINAL EPISODE!!!
It ends with a dramatic FINAL BOSS BATTLE, Gonzo style!!! :o

Actually, Satou pretty much saved Misaki from committing suicide and decided to take is own life as well. That unfortunately became a bust since a metal fence broke his fall.

The ending is pretty much your "as life goes on" type of thing as Yamazaki got himself a girlfriend he really likes, and Satou's sempai had a healthy baby. And for an added twisted, Satou is the one who's giving the lessons to Misaki in the park every night. They also signed an agreement that if one of them commits suicide, the other joins them.
Great series overall! I can't even think of any anime series that dealt with a social issue so directly. I doubt this series will bring a revolutionary end to the hikikomori status, but hopefully this will bring in some light in dealing with this issue as there is a significant number of Japanese people who has this (I heard it's about 1%; now do the math with the total population in Japan right now).

Ah a fitting end to a great series!
And what have we learned from all this? All of life's problems are the fault of the NHK!

Everything ended perfectly! (And it was a pretty awesome x-mas present!) This has definitely become one of my favorite series.
Ranch dressing.
I challenge you to sit there and really examine the taste of it with your tongue and tell me what it's made out of, without looking at the bottle.
It doesn't taste like what it's made out of, does it?
