I saw a video artist in late night tv (yes I didn´t watched pr0n  ) and this artist was very different to normal music videos. Most of the time he took normal average things of a normal day. Mixed together with a lot of keying effects. Well... It was too much art for me and also the song was not my type, but well... It was a different world of editing and audience.

There are tools for DVD scratching and on-the-fly video splicing/looping/editing as well. I managed to miss a DJ Cut Chemist show where he used some of those gadgets. :/

i was VJ at 2 parties - one trance and one D'n'B and i use anime + real time fx to visualization and i see couple of parties that VJs use amvs for visualization. I have friends in one label and make for them almost 8 hours source of different animes, to use it on parties.

I want to see him criticize someone for grammar next.

No one in their right mind is going to come after VJs for using movie clips. It's totally off the radar, and there's no way to stop it. It's sort of like the issue with doujinshi and official publications. Fuck, as far I'm concerned, VJing with movie clips is fair use. And I'm sure the MPAA would much rather strike down Bittorrent.
