Matroska file in VirtualDubMod...

Post by uchihaclan13 » Sun Nov 12, 2006 11:56 am

When I open an mkv that normally has different languages (like Japanese and English) and subs (but you can turn them off too,) is there a way you can control them in VDubMod, too? Cuz all I get in a certain mkv is a dub and no subs.

Go to the Streams list under the Streams menu (assuming you have VDubMod 1.5.x.x); that should have everything you need for controlling the audio and subtitle streams.

eh, wait hold on what about the subtitles? It doesn't have a "switch" , itself. Not that I need one... just wondering for furture causes just in case one of my other mkvs has subtitles activated by default.

Wait, you're not trying to PLAY your Matroska files in VDubMod, are you?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but you can disable the subtitle streams with the Disable button, just like the audio streams.

no, no. I'm trying to make an AVI out of it. The place where the switch is normally for the audio isn't there.

and when I play-test it I see nothing

not to mention when I tried to save the uncompressed AVI altogether, there was no audio, even when I switched one of the audio on.

those are softsubs (there not part of the video file) you cant hardsub them by simply turning them on.

How can I get the audio to save into the AVI from the MKV? (not that I need it)

It always ONLY saves the video when I try to save it
