You can't intentionally start a trend, either. It's one of those things that doesn't work if you try, like being cool. Nor is it really an accomplishment if you do. I mean, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and all, but in this hobby it's also a bit of a cop-out. People do borrow elements from all over creation to make videos - we're magpies, it's our nature to some extent - but swiping ideas wholesale is kind of meh. Unimpressive. So I wouldn't be very proud even if I did start a "trend." It'd be kind of like having a mold farm. Yes, it's impressive in a nature show sort of way, but it tends to grow where things are stagnant, and it probably doesn't smell very good.
