WMM Audio is screwing up

Post by PrincessEmi » Sat Oct 28, 2006 7:30 pm

I recently completed an amv using Windows Movie Maker (ver 2.1.4) and saved it as a movie file. As I was watching it through, about half way through the sound just cut off.

I went back to WMM to try and figure this out. When I watched it through Storyboard mode, the sound cut off again, but if I watched it through Timeline mode (what I had been using to create the vid), it was fine. I tried replacing my MP3 (paid for, I didn't steal) with a WAV format of the song, but it still did not work. The only thing I can figure is it's connected to my "Mystery Clip", a part in my amv where no matter what clip I insert, this one clip plays instead. The music cuts off right after the Mystery Clip. It's either connected to that or the fact WMM froze about every 5 minutes on me (or both?)

If anyone could offer a (hopefully simple) solution to my problem I would be very very very gracious.

export the video from wmm without the audio and use the DV-AVI export option. Then rejoin the audio with virtual-dub mod.

Either I'm extremely stupid or it's cleverly hidden, but I can't find any sort of export option on my wmm, only import. Do you know where I should look? (I feel very stupid for asking that, but I really want to fix this)

Sorry wrong wordings I thinks
In
File>Save Movie File>
after you enter a file name
Change from "Best quality for playback" to "Other settings" (may have to click show more choices)
Click the Dropdown menu and the "DV-AVI" option should be there

Alrighty, I've saved it as an .avi

Do you know where I can download the virtual-dub mod, because I don't think my stupid computer has it.

I'm sorry if I'm being any trouble, but thank you for helping.
