Does anyone else have this problem? Not necessarily with this particular vid, but with others as well. What I wouldn't give to have my workstation here at work actually have working sound so I could at least download the vid and hook up headphones and watch it at lunch...

AMVs/Songs that get stuck in your head...
I've had Hsien's "Sappy Self-Indulgence" (both the footage and the song) stuck in my head for the last two days at work...

Heh, I was actually thinking about making a thread regarding this topic, cuz I have the same exact problem. And, I have a viable solution!
To deal with AMV songs getting stuck in my head, I make AMV song soundtrack, featuring some of my fave songs used in music videos. Mike actually made a second one for me yesterday. They're great for car rides and stuff.
The main fun thing I like about these CDs is that when I hear the songs on them, I think just about the AMVs that use them. It's so surreal. It's as if the songs don't have any other personal meaning attached to them, other than being recongnized.
Here are some of the AMV songs that were stuck in my head that were on my first AMV music CD:
Songs from-
Odorikkuru
Failed Experiments in Video Editing
Engel
Soul of an Angel
... among others. This CD was made a few months ago. My NEW AMV song CD includes all the songs I became addicted to through AWA:
Songs from-
Sappy Self-Indulgence
Spectacular Anime (more Moulin Rouge goodness!)
Fathers and Sons
Shinji Arimakun
The Truth About Totoro
TriEngel ("Engel" yet again, thanks to NightOwl's video)
A Thousand Miles
Vater Unser
So yeah, it's a little long winded, but these are the videos that currently have the songs stuck in my head.

That's been the most insidious one for me. Damn that Kwasuck! I avoid even THINKING about the video because then it gets stuck.MeriC wrote:A Thousand Miles
Nathan Bezner's goddamn bunny girl gets Stomp to my Beat stuck in my head more than the song deserves.
How does one get Elephant Love Medley stuck in their head?
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

It's sometimes just as bad making a video to one of those songs. I've had Blue stuck in my head for three bloody years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ARRRGGGHHHH!!!
Thanks to Nathan Stomp to my Beat is on my MP3 playlist now, and thanks to Mike and Meri Smoke is in there too.
Fortunatly I've already listened Engle to death.

I've had Blue stuck in my head for a while now, but that's because my wife cranks the stereo whenever it comes on. Or worse, puts the CD I made for her with it on it on continuous loop on that track and cranks her car's sound system. When I finally get around to getting hosting I'll have to deal with deciding whether or not to post her 'Blue's Clues' video to 'Blue'.
How to get the Elephant Love Medley stuck in your head... well, I don't have all the song stuck in my head. Primarily the "We should be lovers" "We can't do that" portion that Pan and Deedlit sing, and the whole ending sequence.
I don't get the DDR songs stuck in my head because I usually get up and play the DDR 2nd Remix on my DC for a half hour or so every morning before work, or I likely would get them stuck. I've also listened to Engel to death.
I do need to make a new AMV songs CD... it's been a while, and I've got lots more good songs now to put on it.

Generally anything you work on will get stuck in your head, I once made the mistake of doing a video to a song I loathe -_- . And I can never again listen to the songs I've made AMVs to without imagining the AMV in my head. As far as other people's videos go, I've got three words for you...

Same thing
Songs/Videos that I'll just listen to the music to:
Rythem of the Heat
Soul of an Angel
Dreams Come True
I actually got so sick of:
Odikurou (SP?)
Jinnai and the Bugrum live
That I no longer play them.
I currently have stuck in my head music from my own videos. I can't wait till people get to hear the song: Corporate Slave. And then there is the song that is so totally stuck in my head that I'm going to put as an Utena video soon just to stop the madness of it.

That's why it's kind of nice that the vid I'm working on has almost no chance of the audio getting stuck in my head. The Wired Knight wrote:Generally anything you work on will get stuck in your head, I once made the mistake of doing a video to a song I loathe -_- . Actually, I have the problem with imagining the footage in my head to the AMVs to just about any song I've seen a good AMV done to.
