it was inevitable though. you had to know that sooner or later someone (or a group) would get upset over the amount of copyrighted materials floating around in there...i better check my account there and see if it's been suspended, though.

Meh...in truth, I suppose it should be done, despite how I and many other people appreciate the amount of copyrighted material that is on the site. I uploaded my AMV's on there, and they've gotten vastly more views than my full quality videos here on the org have. To put it into perspective, I've got 2 vids here on the org, with 497 combined views. Those same two videos on YouTube have generated 17,651 views.

I know views aren't everything, but if I didn't care about who watched, then I wouldn't bother uploading them on here in the first place.

But you don't know how many of those views were by unique viewers. It's far less likely that someone will download the same video twice from the Org than that someone will watch the same video twice over there (and I have seen comments in which people admit to watching certain videos over and over).

That said, with numbers like that, it's probably still true that you get more unique viewers over there as well.

Well, since it's streaming, views can equate to non-unique downloads which is a stat the 'org keeps track of (for th elast year anyways).

That is the first time I've seen someone post directly to their account. Are you reporting to us that this hasn't happened to you or just having an excuse for self pimping

And that company isn't attacking amvs. I'm sure non got removed because of it. I haven't heard one person mention it happening to them after this thing happened.
