Need some help (dont call me noob)
Ok, I want to start making AMVs, and I do have Windows Movie Maker. I looked up earlier today online to see how to download clips from youtube.com or other sites. When I saved it, I did it exactly as it told me to, putting ".flv" ".avi" or ".wmv" on it. Then, when I go to import videos, I choose it from the "My Videos" folder, and then I select it and click Import. But it never works, it says "Video not valid or corrupt." Basically, I'm asking for people to help me with downloading videos from youtube without downloading any programs (firefox, etc.).

if the series is avaliable in the US (or your region) you should buy the dvds.
Note that uploading amvs using downloaded footage is against the rules (sometimes it can't be helped, for series that are only avaliable in Japan...or not even on dvd in Japan yet).
If you don't want to download anything [programs], this is not your hobby.
for pretty much all of your footage questions, I direct you to EADFAG
