Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Pervading Shadow - Advent Children
Footage: Advent Children
Music: Adema, Immortal (overused agreed, but from the vids I'd seen, just not making the impact that this song could have)
This video was done for BattleSaga VII, and although it didn't win, it is a piece I am very fond of. I had picked the song out a few years back and set it aside for AC.
From the feedback I've gotten, people seem to hate the stop start motion in it and after reflecting, I think I could have used something else to convey a stronger impact. But thats the thing with editing, we learn as we go along. So if you see things I could improve on, please point them out. Muchly appreciated.
There are a few timings that could have been tighter, but with the time constrant it isn't as polished as it could be.
Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy

.... eh?
Anyway, yeh, i agree with the others on the stop motion. I don't condemn it fully though. I think that maybe if you'd used a flash, or b&w, or some kind of fade (or something) combined with the stop motion, it would actually look much better. It just looks odd having it freeze on its own, and then jerking forward. Like Cal, when it first happened when i was watching it, i thought VLC was jerking me around again.
Apart from that i actually really enjoyed the video. You did a really good job on the matchup of the song and anime, and its easily the best use of this song that i've seen.
