What is better?
Yeah, what do you think? It's better to upload an AMV of 7MB with the WMA format so people can download it faster than an AVI or MPG one, whichs video quality is too much superior?

Well I know a few people who have SLOW connections, but yeah the quality is better. They'll wait if they want it bad enough.CrackTheSky wrote:No. Always go for image quality. Pretty much everyone who downloads from here has a high-speed connection (or at least I'd assume so, given that the majority of AMVs on this site are larger than 40MB), and a few extra minutes of downloading time are desirable to low video quality.
Think of it this way:
For christmas would you rather go to the dollar store quickly for a crappy present, or wait awhile for a really good one?

if you're concerned about the accessibility of your video, you can upload your video to external streaming sites, like you tube. just be aware that it is against the you tube terms of service to upload material that is not yours, and the video can be removed for containing licensed music or anime.

Oh! Of course I like wma, because it is only for audio (WindowsMediaAudio) ^^'
I think it is the best if everybody compress his videos in h.264 because it is such the best codec with the best compression and filesize.
But it needs a little programm, because not every noob (this is not attack against noobs!) can handle with the batch conversation and the steps you have to do before it (cleaning...). So the codecs need more time and addatention from the editor´s side before you can use it.
I prevere mp4 wit h.264 and I try to avoid wmv and rm.
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases.

Actually, yes! :!OCrackTheSky wrote:Does that actually happen?the video can be removed for containing licensed music or anime.
YCSTR got a C&D from the creators of Casshern throug the tube for one of his trailers, and just last week I got a C&D through the tube from the owners of Pokemon, for my AMV that was there.
For anyone interested in what it looks like, here you go!
Note that my video had bene up on u2be for a few long months, so it wasn't like I uploaded it, and in the validation process it was gone.Video Rejected: Copyright Infringement wrote:Dear Member:

You only get a C&D if someone flags your video. So yeah, it happens.
disclaimer: I'm throwing around the term "C&D", I really don't know what this really qualifies as.

As for the actual subject of this thread. I like to have a low quality version and a high quality version. I like to preview before I buy, if you know what I mean.

As to the original question, go for the quality, damn the megabits!
Pray 4 peace! Not an AMV, something you can do to help!
