Trouble with Audacity/LAME shutting down a Powerbook G4

Is anyone having this problem? I'm getting error alerts and the program stops recording and shuts down. After a couple of restarts the entire computer shuts down.

I'd buy the enhanced S/W if that would make a difference

What he really means is Apple sucks and try the hardware software forums.
