thx
What do you think about "Bryce 3D"?
I´ve tried it with animes, but can only work with single frames (its an old version, maybe in the newest I could use clips also) in there, but also getted some nice animations and animations for own fades.

Yeah, Bryce is a neat program to mess around with, but it's more of a "toy" than anything else...not terribly good for animation. If I had to recommend something, I'd say try Blender, there seems to be some good support and a large user base out there to help answer questions. (and it's free!) For things like 3dsMax, if you wanted to try and learn it, try CGtalk.com, they have a large forum there with lots of user help.

Yeah, it can do some neat simulations, but I'm not too knowledgeable on them, my primary education in 3d was character animation (which I might add is not reflected to it's full extent here...if you want to see some of my "professional" stuff, see:

http://www.zephyrstar.com/media/demoreel_2005.avi

that's my student demo reel)

Animating anime characters is harder, because if you make the animation too fluid, it doesn't look like anime anymore. Ultimately though, I'd like to take an anime character and animate them with full expressiveness and very smooth animation to see how it would look.

One thing you'll discover about Blender is that it's always changing by a little bit. It can be difficult to keep up with the changes since the tutorials are often a few versions behind.

Anyway, here's a link to some video tutorials:

Try and get familiar with ramp shading. It's almost essential for creating anime-esque renders.

One thing I forgot to mention about the video tutorials:

If you're getting static from the audio while using ffdshow, rightclick the ffdshow audio decoder and select LFE crossover.

That might be an understatement :P

One new feature of Blender that has really impressed me are the new mesh sculpting tools, being developed by Nicholas Bishop as part of a project entitled "Interactive Sculpting with Multi-Resolution Models".

These tools aren't available in any official release yet; you'll need to either grab an unofficial build or (my preferred method) download the latest version of the source code and compile your own build. So, yeah. :)

Actually, for an up-to-date source of tutorials, latest additions to Blender, and other stuff Blender-related, I recommend keeping up to date with BlenderNation. It's the reason why that site exists.

Heh, the concept is amazingly simple. I'll wait until it comes out to test it, but I'm kinda curious as to how the script will act on an x-axis symmetrical sculpt request on a sphere.

I also just found this, so time permitting over the next little bit I'll be trying to figure out rigging. I'd say that rigging would be my biggest challenge in a new software, since softwares tend to treat this differently depending on what you're using. (I've found it to be the biggest difference between maya, max, and lightwave anyway)

but this looks like it has good coverage of the whole process.

Where the heck did that phrase come from, anyway? I'd like to at least know whom I'm ripping off.
It's a line from the Simpsons. You're quoting Homer.
Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.
