Iron Editor History: A Call to Arms

Waldo and I are doing a panel on the history of Iron Editor for AnimeUSA, however neither of us tend to take many pictures, so we need help from ya'll.

If you've EVER attended an official Iron Editor/Iron Chef AMV event and took a picture, PLEASE send it to VicBond007@AOL.com or post a link here with a little note saying which con it's from.

We need tons of pictures to keep things visually interesting. We don't care if it's crowd shots, editor shots, pictures of the judges, or candid photos of Quu biting the head off of a VAT staffer in frustration, WE NEED THEM!

I believe that there was also an Iron Editor at Acen 2004, but I'm still working on finding out who was behind that, but if you have pictures of that, send plz!

There was one at ACen 2003, too; I'm pretty sure that Quu handled it. Here's DW's take on it.

oh, and about the ACen 2004 Iron Editor (well, it was called Iron Chef then) --

I'm pretty sure Quu was also in charge of that one, and that it was hosted by Greggo. That was the one IE competition I won

Just been involved (loosly) in the rip off ones at AB in 04 and 05 and that one online one...

As trythil noted, ACen 2003 and 2004 was under Quu and when it was called "Iron Chef." I also believe Fanime 2003 had the event under the same title and coordinator. Looking through my own videos here are the details I know of:

ACen 2003:
Iron Chef: Outlawed ( [Edited per request - #4423])
Challenger: Me
Winner: Me :O
Theme: Robots
Secret Ingredient: The Iron Giant (it was awesome)

ACen 2004:
Iron Chef: Me
Challenger trythil
Winner: trythil
Theme: Dreams
Secret Ingredient: SOMETHING REALLY GAY WITH NAKED CATS RUNNING AROUND GAH!

Fanime 2003:
Iron Chef: ErMaC
Challenger Doki
Winner: Doki
Theme: Guns? Or was it Cars?
Secret Ingredient: Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro

I believe I have photos from 2003 and 2004 ACen and when I get some time, I'll go find them and send them over.

..assuming they aren't too incriminating. I do recall a few with a fangirl who wanted to *cough* sleep with me *cough*.

No, those were chairs that had to moved out of the way so there'd be room for the IC setup.
