East meets South (Alabama Con)

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this convention?

I live in Florence, Al which is all football and no anime and 6hrs away from this convention in Oxford.

Basically does anyone know if it's worth going to? I am mainly interested in the Guitar Hero tournament, but that'd be a bit too sad to drive 6hrs for guitar hero.

I'm thinking about making an amv for it, but the last anime convention I went to in Alabama (Huntsville) was pathetic; they couldn't handle all the codec's for every amv.

any info would be great.
