Sugar & Spice Present:

When Worlds Collide
Anime: My HiME
Song: Ichirin no Hana by High and Mighty Color
Editors: Aria(Sugar), JubJub(Spice)

After 8 months of cautious procrastination JubJub & I finally finished our MEP. JudgeHolden is to blame for this creation, when after he watched one of my AMVs and then watched one of JubJubs he offhandly commented that my "gothic & quasi-depressing" AMVs were completely opposite of JubJubs "lighthearted & happy" AMVs and that if we made an AMV together it'd be interesting. So we took that as a challenge!

To add to the fun, I got to be Sugar, and took all the bright happy parts. While JubJub got to be Spice, and took all the dark hardcore parts.

Yeah the music was cool, I

demented screaming set to a electronic beat. Anyways, the lip flap was kinda annoying at times. Otherwise it was ok.

I was going to say how you two could have put more work into it by taking your time but...

"After 8 months..."

Why did it take so long? I barely saw any effects and the timming was slightly off...

This was my first from you guys but I'm sure you can do better. -_-

great work, girls! I like the fact that you really put effort into trying something new. If I didn't know any better I'da' never guessed. The over all concept of sugar vs. spice remains though and you can see a deffinite shift in style every so often.

JubJub: Needs to win some kind of reward for "hardest worker of the year". Since we started she's worked..you know, I don't even want to count, AMV projects. She's also been doing her super-momma thing and during the summer, when the kids had time off, naturally spent more time with them AND was still doing projects!
Iunno where she gets the energy =P

Me: I've made maybe 1 - 2 full length AMVs this whole year. Been busy with IRL stuffs(college, weddings, funerals, babies, etc).

Yeah, I was taking the intro of the AMV from the actual Ichirin no Hana music video so I wanted the HiMEs to sing along with the first verse or so. But then when I got to Natsuki/Shizuru and they were talking it makes the beginning seem like excess lip flap, sad panda.

Interesting turn of events... I liked the video. I felt it could have been tighter at parts, but overall, a good effort all around.

And, this reminds me to watch the rest of the series.
